Partners

This program brings together a world-class team of medical researchers and practicing clinicians. The hospital sites committed to conducting the series of multiple clinical trials are:

• Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York
• Affiliated hospitals of the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina
• Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina

The medical team comprised of staff from each of the above named institutions will coordinate its activities with fabricators and manufacturers of copper alloy products identified by the Copper Development Association to implement copper touch surfaces in selected locations in the three hospitals.

• The Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) directs the program.
• An independent advisory board, chaired by Dr. Barry Kreiswirth of The Public Health Research Institute, monitors the study progress.
